cable was out last night. debugged it, no problem on my end. after all i was the IT guy for a bank, i know my way around a network..
tech guy from comcast has me ‘restart’ my router. yea. cuz i didnt try that already? what an idiot. anyway - i do it. he says he can see my router just fine. the problem is on my end. but i know its not. anyway, i get pissed and start delving into the problem more..
turns out - one of their dns servers is f’ed up, so i had to force my router to get a dynamically new one. now it works. good thing i know what im doing. the odds of their techy figuring that out were slim to none. anyway - that was my vent. lol. needless to say, no trading got done.
BUT
the downtime did give me a chance to do a little testing - seems i have some more objective rules for entering my trades, and a little more confidence in them on the whole. will try out this newfound wisdom(maybe) and confidence tomorrow.
